Purging data from custom table

Hello,

I have a custom table that is being growing exponentially, we need to create a purge process that will delete data based in date calculations(anything that is less than this x date will be deleted). Anybody could recommend the best approach to take in this regard?

Thank you,

Serialized Tables empty and no visible Web Menus

HI, I have the following issue; Successfully built and deployed a 8.11 full PY package, (backed up the JAS/System folder and restored after package installed) and Installed the package onto a generation machine and then generated DD's and Global Tables, performed the full web generation (JPY811) but when I log into PY web client there are no menus whatsoever, just a blank page. When I look at the PY811.F989998 and PY811.F989999 tables they are empty (tables were truncated before the web generation). I have tried the same procedure on another generation machine but the results are the same. Could the issue be related to the JAS.INI, JDBJ.INI? Any help would be much appreciated, it's probably something simple but I can't see the woods for the trees.

Item ledger as of record generation errors

its been for years that we never been able to run this report in our old environment and we recently upgraded the JD enterprise one to 9.1 latest release.
when the report finishes running we are having a lot of errors with the description of "Date Pattern does not exist in"

we have looked at the work with fiscal date patterns and we have all the records already for 12 period and 13 and those are the only pattern we have ever used.

any help would be appreciated.

Tools Upgrade Extednded Timeframe

Looking for a few insights.

We are looking at doing a tools upgrade from 9.1.4.4 to 'whatever' is the latest. However, we might have a extended timeframe between DV/PY and Production (possibly months). There are some timing gaps in our upcoming schedule that aren't being friendly to an expedient tools upgrade across all environments (too many spinning fish in the cyclometer)....

I realize there are some inherent changes in architecture (specifically web presentation and OMW / Spec ) that have occurred - but what I don't know is the impact of an extended upgrade path. Once we plant the most-current tools release into our DV/PY environments - what will that do to our Production Promotion/Deployment schedule (will we be able to promote to Production?).

I would expect some lengthy debate - so I'm eager to see all the simply worded "Don't Do That" responses =D

JDE 9.0 on WAN

We are thinking to have the JDE 9.0 move to data center offsite on WAN. As part of test we moved our test servers and found that the response was very poor and unacceptable basically due to the System DB not being local to test servers. That being said we are trying the best approach to have JDE servers across WAN. Below are some of the questions I am looking for an answer or discussion
-Is it feasible to split DV & CRP on LAN and Prod on WAN or vs?.
-Does anybody has this architecture working and what are the areas of concerns to get the reasonable performance/response?.
-Do you perform data replication across servers?
-Pain points on dual maintenance?

Would like some inputs from the experts in this fields.

Thanks,

Question on upgraded Revision/Grade of stock on a Rework Work order

Hi all,

I am a developer and I've been asked to look at the following.
Say we have an item that is used to make kits. It was Rev A in 2015, now for some reason its Rev B in 2016.
We have a rework order in 2016 but the kit used the item when it was Rev A.

During a rework order, where there are co/by products going back into stock, we want the ability to actually put Rev A back into stock (because that's what it IS and what was used in the BOM) not what the item branch currently is, Rev B.

This is from the requester:

When we create rework workorders we use process items and have to add a co-product(this is what the item gets made into) and by-products (this is material we reclaim put into stock)

From the workorder file row exit to Co-product/By-product screen and we enter the items here this reads the F3111 file in here we want to show the standard grade field and have it editable (STDG field)

It should pull this value from the item branch F4102 STDG field for the item

However in doing the above we could have a situation where we have a co or a by product that now has rev B on the item branch but when we built this product these parts were actually rev A so I want the users to be able to change the standard grade to what is on the product.

When completions run I would then need whatever standard grade is on the co/by-product to populate onto the lot master and inventory file

Can anyone help me out here?
Can we do this in E1?

Thanks

John

9.1 Resources for a Newbie?

Hello,

I'm very new to JDE. I've been working in it for under a month.

I was wondering if anyone could recommend some good material with beginner items?

I'm trying to find a report that gives me work order variances and allows me to set a timeframe (date range). I was looking at R31804 and it seems to be what I'm looking for, but I've yet to find a way I can run it as a user.

My company has the report set to run nightly, but it doesn't help me if I want to find a month's worth of variances by work order. Am I looking at this the wrong way? Should I be more focused on finding the proper G/L account my variances are connected to and going about it that way?

Sorry if this is a really dumb question, I've been trying to Google, but been getting more advanced topics than what I am looking for.

Thank you for your time,
Tim

Issue Lock on F03B11 vs R03B50A....R03B50A freezing

Hi,

In the automatic Cash Receipt, We are running R03B551, that call R03B50 and our execution list that has only R03B50A as part of the execution list.
We have frequently a high level of invoices to match.

E1, version 9.1, Tools 9.1.5

Ex: We have multiple customers that pays 200-300 invoices at the time (ex: 100-200$ an invoice) and send a 20-30K check.
When we have volume like this, the R03B50A simply freeze and loop.

We found this on oracle support:

In release 9.0, why does Invoice Selection Match (R03B50A) lock the database for the Customer Ledger (F03B11) table? ( Doc ID 2023712.1 ) and apply the workaround of: A workaround is to change the Rowset Size=1000 in the [DB SYSTEM SETTINGS] section of the Enterprise server jde.ini.

But the problem is instead of freezing at 80 invoices, we freeze at 160 invoices as per the statement

FINAL DISPOSITION ROLLING LETTER =====================
If the RowSet Size is 1000 or above, the Default Rowset Buffer length can be
doubled. So RowSet can go upto 160 records. This can be done by setting the
RowSet Size to 1000 in the JDE.ini.This resolved the issue.

We aren't getting anywhere. Our automatic cash receipts process down and the cash receipt department has to manually match the cash receipts. Creating crisis.
Anybody from this group faced that situation? We can't imagine 160 records is the maximum for large Customer.

Thanks to all.

Excessive delay in Login and first time opening of any application - 9.1 tools 9.1.5

Hi,
We have a JDE lab instance running application 9.1 with tools 9.1.5.7. Our WebLogic 12c based HTML server is having unexplained performance issues. Each time we login, it takes more than a 1.5 mins to come to home screen. Each time a new application is opened, it takes almost an eternity to open it up. Subsequent openings are fast. Unfortunately, the debug log hardly reveals anything with unexplained time gaps ranging from 15 secs to 40 secs at various stages. Here are examples.

This is a lab and we don't have the permission to create SR and pursue it with Oracle. Any idea on what might be wrong? Please note that our server is pretty good by lab standards (32 GB RAM, 2.8 GHz Intel Xeon CPU 4 cores). Each time its slow, I checked the performance through windows task manager and hardly see any significant load in the system. There are no error messages in the system as well.

Any idea on how to proceed troubleshooting would be really appreciated...

iSeries SQL to Query QSYS2 for Table Size?

Hi All,

Many years ago I heard the tip, "Fourth and long - PUNT"... . I'm hoping for a better tip than that, today.

You can obtain a lot of table information pulling from the iSeries QSYS2 structures. What I can't figure out - how the heck, via SQL can I pull the Table Size (or last hit-on date) from within SQL.

Yes, I know the table size can be pulled via the dsplib - giving a very concise list of objects and sizes. I'm just hoping for a trick to using the QSYS2 and straight SQL to pull the data.

Any hints (or tips) - greatly appreciated.

JDE E1 Performance Monitor with Tools Release 898

We are running E1 811 SP1/Tools Release 8.98.4.7 - with WebLogic Servers, 10.5 (11g) - Server Manager 9.1.2.

Refer to link below, as we are in the installing/configuring stage of the RTE Monitor (Transaction Server), which is all being done through Server Manager. However, RTE was setup on an existing WebLogic server, which has several of our HTML instances running, including production. For some ODD reason, the RTE Transaction Server is not stable as it continues to stop and become undetermined through Server Manager. Is it possible that the RTE server needs to be set up on its own server.

Has anyone used this tool? Since there isn't much feedback out here regarding this tool -- is it something not recommended to use at this point? If you can help to provide any information or tips on this setup, it will be VERY much appreciated it.

saving additional sale order information

There is a new business requirement to save some additional information about the F3211 into the F4211. Specifically when someone has a Y/N in a certain segment, they want that information at a glance and be QBE searchable, and not in a report or looking into the configurator.

I know how to query F3211 and determine what I need. I'm looking for suggestions/best practices in this situation.

As I see it I have 2 options

1) store the information in the F4211 user defined fields, modify V4211A to include those fields, and add those field to the P4210 form (probably P42101 too)
2) store the information in a new table (I believe, commonly refereed to as a tag file), create a new bsvw/form for inquiry.

My worry about number 1 is
1.a) what else will be affected by modifying the bsvw
1.b) what else are they gonna want added to it and i'm going to run out of user defined fields

My worry about number 2 is
2.a)Data available form new form that NOT available from P4210/P42101
2.b)What type of P4210 functionality am I going to duplicate (i'm thinking row/form exits)

HR/PR As-Of Point-In-Time per PDBA?

Always exciting, here =D

Is there a report or application that can tell the HR/PR folk the balance of a PDBA at any given Point-In-Time?

For example, if they want to know the amount of sick time D'amon Divelle (AB#666) had on June 6, 2016 - is there an app for that?

Years ago I posted a similar plea - and had zero takers. I've gotten older since then - and I no-longer remember how I resolved that plea (I know it didn't go away, though). I'm thinking some odd combo of F06146/147 and who knows what other magic?

If there is an app that would share that, or a UBE?? - I'd really like to know the short cut.

Receipt Routing wrapper - P43250

Hi List,

I've been tasked with exposing Receipt Routing, as works in P43250 W43250K and L as a BSSV and also as a BSFn to be called via bar code scripting software DCLink etc.
The goal is to update F43092.

Has anyone done this?

I look at P43250 and it uses the traditional cached Begin, Edit Line End Doc type approach. B4301520 XTN43092

If I look at F9862, I find ND3N4309 dcLink Receipt Routing (which looks like it too calls the B4301520 XTN43092 BSFNs)

Even R43092Z1I uses the XTN4309 functions

Should I just cut my losses and expose ND3N. Or is there something else I can call to do this.

Thanks

As communication service providers (CSPs) continue to evolve their networks to take advantage of new technologies to deploy innovative services such as voice over LTE (VoLTE) and voice over wi-fi (VoWiFi), they require agile, cost-effective solutions to address their customers’ digital lifestyle expectations. To achieve these goals, CSPs are shifting more of their core network functions to the cloud. The latest version of Oracle Communications Network Service Orchestration Solution, accelerates this transition by providing key service orchestration capabilities that enable CSPs to rapidly design and automatically deploy, scale, heal and terminate services in the network core.

The solution is part of the Oracle Communications intelligent orchestration framework, which helps guide CSPs in their adoption of Network Function Virtualization technology and helps them maximize its benefits. The framework gathers and analyzes network performance information, evaluates the network’s operation against predefined policies and business rules, and can trigger the appropriate action to automatically modify the behavior of services, network functions, and virtualized infrastructure – in a closed loop manner.

“CSPs are looking to NFV as a means to both transform their networks and to generate new revenues from the increased agility enabled by network virtualization,” said Dana Cooperson, Research Director at Analysys Mason. “For them to be successful, they must take a holistic orchestration approach, based on a modular set of orchestration functions, that facilitates an increasingly dynamic, virtualized network and integrates with end-to-end business and operations processes. Such an approach, of which Oracle Network Service Orchestration Solution is one example, will best position CSPs to realize the full business benefits of their NFV investment.”

CSPs may use new capabilities within Oracle Communications Network Service Orchestration Solution to:
  • Simplify the deployment of virtualized IMS networks that cost-effectively support a new generation of services, such as VoLTE and VoWiFi.
  • Automatically configure customer and network traffic flows, through integration with the OpenDaylight SDN Controller, to scale services up and down while balancing the network load for improved service quality.
  • Optimally configure network services on the underlying hardware – specifically the organization and deployment of virtual CPUs, memory distribution and disk usage – through integration with industry-leading virtual infrastructure managers.
  • Support a broad range of third party virtual network functions by providing native VNF management capabilities to orchestrate VNFs that may or may not have their own VNF Manager – allowing CSPs choice and flexibility in VNF selection for network deployment.

“As CSPs evolve their networks to take advantage of cloud technologies, they must consider how to rapidly introduce virtual network functions while ensuring services are delivered with consistent, prescribed levels of quality,” said Doug Suriano, senior vice president and general manager, Oracle Communications. “This new release of Oracle Communications Network Service Orchestration Solution enables CSPs to deploy and manage network functions optimally to ensure, for example, that premium customer services are guaranteed to be configured on appropriate resources from end to end.”

Oracle Communications Network Service Orchestration Solution is designed to work with upstream operational systems to help CSPs quickly transition to the delivery of real-time, cloud-based services over virtual and hybrid networks. Oracle’s solution for the end-to-end delivery of contemporary cloud-based services includes common, standards-based modeling of products, services and resources across Oracle’s integrated architecture for lifecycle service orchestration and network service orchestration. This productized, end to end capability provides CSPs the service agility and automated operations to begin to truly transform their business, not just their network.

Oracle will showcase this solution as part of the “Offer and Orchestrate NaaS over the Elastic Network” demonstration in Hall 3, Stand 3B20 at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, February 22 – 25, 2016.

Oracle Enables Mobile Operators to Securely Increase Network Coverage and Capacity Using Wi-Fi and the Internet

Press Release

Oracle Enables Mobile Operators to Securely Increase Network Coverage and Capacity Using Wi-Fi and the Internet

New functionality enables operators to use Wi-Fi to improve indoor voice coverage and offer Wi-Fi-based voice, video, and rich messaging services

Redwood Shores, Calif.—Feb 22, 2016

Consumer use of mobile devices continues to expand at a breakneck pace, which makes it challenging for mobile network operators to deliver the coverage and capacity required for a high quality customer experience. To address this challenge, Oracle today announced that Oracle Communications Mobile Security Gateway provides new ways to help communications service providers (CSPs) cost effectively expand network coverage and increase capacity by safely and securely incorporating Wi-Fi and the internet into the mobile core. In addition, the newly introduced support for Wi-Fi calling allows CSPs to leverage Wi-Fi to address problematic indoor voice coverage problems to provide customers with a consistent mobile network experience even in areas that were previously dead zones in the network.

Oracle Communications Mobile Security Gateway enables CSPs to:
  • Improve indoor voice coverage: With Wi-Fi calling, CSPs can use Wi-Fi as an access network for the mobile core to enable voice and video calling, as well as rich messaging

  • Relieve congestion in the macro network: CSPs can use Wi-Fi offload to unburden data traffic from the macro network and securely move it to the internet

  • Improve coverage and capacity in difficult to reach and high density areas: Small, strategically placed base stations, called small cells, enable CSPs to expand coverage and increase capacity of the mobile network

“The reality is that the macro networks alone cannot solve the seemingly neverending growth in network demand, and it is critical that CSPs find a solution. Increases in customer churn are directly correlated with poor service quality, and unfortunately for the CSPs, customers have other options from over-the-top and competitive service providers,” said Stéphane Téral, Senior Research Director, IHS Inc. “With its Mobile Security Gateway, Oracle Communications addresses CSPs’ thorny issue of providing a cost-effective way to use ubiquitous Wi-Fi and internet to create a more scalable network to better serve their customers with Wi-Fi calling, Wi-Fi offload and small cells capabilities.”

Oracle Communications Mobile Security Gateway provides the high-performance and secure gateway that interconnects the untrusted Wi-Fi and internet with the mobile core. The resulting new heterogeneous networks enable CSPs to increase capacity, expand coverage, and ultimately deliver voice and data services to consumers with higher quality and with no other apparent change to the consumer. The product is built using the same proven security and scalability that is offered by Oracle Communications Session Border Controller.

“Wi-Fi is a standard capability in mobile operating systems. And so the opportunity for CSPs to use it in their mobile networks is clear—both to make the network more reliable and to deliver the kinds of Wi-Fi-enabled services customers are asking for,” said Doug Suriano, senior vice president and general manager, Oracle Communications. “The Oracle Communications Mobile Security Gateway makes sure they can leverage this opportunity, and do so securely.”

To learn more about this solution, visit Oracle in Hall 3, Stand 3B20 at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, February 22 – 25, 2016.

Oracle Delivers 10x Performance Improvement in Cloud Network Infrastructure

Press Release

Oracle Delivers 10x Performance Improvement in Cloud Network Infrastructure

New Oracle InfiniBand Network Fabric Transforms the Delivery of Business-Critical Applications in the Cloud

Barcelona – Mobile World Congress —Feb 22, 2016

Extending its commitment to helping organizations embrace cloud infrastructure, Oracle today announced Oracle Enhanced Data Rate (EDR) InfiniBand Fabric. The new software-defined networking-enabled, 100 GB/s converged fabric enables enterprise customers to securely accelerate application performance in order to quickly respond to changing business demands. These capabilities also provide the basis for future generations of highly converged Engineered Systems.

“Enterprise customers deploying business-critical applications in the cloud require software-defined, high-performance network infrastructure that can respond to changing business demands in real time,” said Brad Casemore, director of research for datacenter networking at IDC. “With optimizations for Oracle’s application software integrated into its InfiniBand network-fabric silicon and switches, Oracle is delivering a comprehensive stack of integrated software and infrastructure—including the underlying network fabric—so that enterprise customers can readily embrace cloud computing.”

Oracle’s EDR InfiniBand Fabric enables organizations to successfully deploy business-critical applications in the cloud by improving network performance, efficiency and security. Built on open standards, the new solution will help customers accelerate application performance on key Oracle, third party, and user-developed enterprise workloads, including transaction processing, and makes it possible for enterprises to dramatically improve response times in network-facing applications.

“In cloud environments, new tenants, applications, and changing workload demands are the norm. Traditional, rigid approaches to network infrastructure that rely heavily on manual processes can be time consuming, costly and error-prone,” said Raju Penumatcha, senior vice president, Netra Systems and Networking, Oracle. “Oracle EDR InfiniBand Fabric provides a scalable and non-blocking, secure, open, and unified solution that virtualizes all network infrastructure for on-demand provisioning and orchestration without compromising performance.”

With Oracle’s EDR InfiniBand Fabric, organizations are able to benefit from:

  • Unparalleled Performance: At 100 Gb/s, Oracle EDR InfiniBand Fabric delivers 10x the performance of Ethernet and 3x the performance of previous generation InfiniBand that enables 4:1 network consolidation with the ability to seamlessly integrate with existing datacenter storage and networking. Using a non-blocking, fat-tree topology customers can gain an unprecedented level of flexibility for service deployment and responsiveness to load variation.
  • Improved Efficiency: Oracle’s EDR InfiniBand Fabric provides a single fabric for all server and storage communication, supporting native InfiniBand, virtualized Ethernet, and Fibre Channel. This converged open interconnect can be transparently deployed without changes to applications or storage. Built-in SDN enables the instant creation of private virtual network overlays for secure multi-tenant service isolation.
  • Application Acceleration: Oracle’s EDR InfiniBand Fabric utilizes on-chip cores that can process high concurrent stream counts and offload low latency messaging for accelerating applications. Host CPU cycles are freed up, dramatically reducing response times and increasing throughput.
  • Enhanced Security: Oracle EDR InfiniBand Fabric secures the fabric’s management plane to ensure cloud tenants sharing the same physical infrastructure are isolated from the network traffic and administrative actions of other tenants with secure end-point authentication. It also authenticates key management actions, including provisioning new networks and making configuration changes. Users can also utilize built-in virtual network security services such as firewall, load balancer, IP routing, VPN, and Network Address Translation to protect tenant domains.
  • Open Standards: Oracle’s commitment to open standards, interfaces, and technologies are further reinforced by today’s announcement. Oracle was a founding member of the InfiniBand Trade Association and has invested in InfiniBand technology since 1999. Oracle is a current Steering Committee Member of the IBTA and a member of the Board of Directors of the Open Fabrics Alliance.

BI Publisher multiple trays

We are using BI Publisher desktop 11.1.1.5. I have a single report sent to BI Publisher RTF for PDF output. I would like it to burst in a particular method but do not know if it is possible and/or how to arrive at this.

It is the JDE standard Pick Slip report where there are multiple pick slips for each report. Each pick slip in that report will have a zone and a priority. The zone and priority combination will determine what printer/printer tray it goes to. The report will NOT be sorted by zone nor priority so it has to be based on each pick slip in the report. The bursting would be in the report definition object of JDE. I am currently on E9.0.

Is this possible? If so, how do I proceed?

Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Question on staging location in JD Edwards

Hi Everyone,
Greetings and hello to all !
My name is Vandana and I am new to this group . I have gone through the various posts in this group and I must say that this site is fantastic.
I am a JDE S&D consultant . I am having total 2 years of experience completely in JDE functional stream.
I wanted to get your inputs/feedback/suggestions on the following. This is wrt to one of the requirements for our Dubai based client

I would like to know if we can have a staging location in JD Edwards . To explain further , I would like the inventory to be stored there for a temporary period and at the same time not have anybody being able to take out the inventory from that location in the meantime.
Later I would transfer the inventory back to the main location . So basically this should be a staging temp location .
If the inventory is hidden from all (while viewing from the item availability screen) , that would be better.

I can create a new location from the location master but I am little stuck on how I can put this on hold so that no body else can do the inventory transfer from this location in the meantime as well as the availability remains hidden.

I am working on E812 Tools Release 8.98.

Can anyone let me know the possibilities and the approach for the same.

Thanks and Regards,
Vandana Seshadrichari

EDI inbound R47011 - Create sales order/Purchase order (memory violation)

Hi All
We use R47011 to generate sales order and related purchase order through EDI data, but UBE occasionally end with "E" and PDF last page show with either

"Business Function R470110 DataBaseUpdateSection at line 53 for event 13 in section Read/Edit EDI header has cause memory violation." or
"Business Function R470110 HaederDoSectionProcess at line 23 for event 13 in section Read/Edit EDI header has cause memory violation." Both refer to BF is B470011.

It looks not volume issue because sometime only 10 EDI invoices will cause above error. (most time we have more than 800).
it also not data issue because when job fail but if we use SAME EDI data run again, it can complete properly.

Thanks for any suggestions

Oracle Cloud Platform Powers Real-Time Marketing Intelligence for Surdell & Partners

Press Release

Oracle Cloud Platform Powers Real-Time Marketing Intelligence for Surdell & Partners

Ad Agency Drives Success for Top Brands with Oracle Database Cloud

Redwood Shores Calif—Feb 17, 2016

Surdell and Partners, a full service advertising and marketing agency, is using Oracle Database Cloud, part of Oracle Cloud Platform, to deliver near real-time intelligence to its clients, including retailers Cabela’s, Kohl’s, and Gabe’s.

In the highly competitive advertising and marketing space, Surdell and Partners needed to focus its limited IT resources on strategic activities that enable it to distinguish its services from much larger agencies. To better utilize its IT resources, Surdell and Partners migrated its on-premises Oracle environment to the Oracle Cloud. This has enabled Surdell and Partners to improve  processes, reduce operations costs, deliver its SaaS solutions faster, and drive business growth for its customers.

“Oracle Database Cloud is a perfect solution for us,” said Adam Kanzmeier, Director of Customer Intelligence and Strategic Consulting, Surdell and Partners. “It offloads resource-intensive infrastructure and database administrator work, enabling us to focus on our core business, and that has allowed us to provide better service and more flexibility for our clients. We can now provide our customers with capacity and resources on demand with the click of a button, not in days, weeks or even longer, as would have been the case in pre-cloud days. With nearly instant access to information, we’re helping our clients become predictive rather than reactive, resulting in better decisions for their business.”

Through Oracle Cloud, Surdell and Partners dramatically improved its speed to market. With Oracle’s unmatched multitenant database capabilities, Surdell and Partners can manage many databases as a single unit, significantly reducing operations costs. Oracle Application Express provides a simple, single-tier architecture for rapid database application development, which has allowed Surdell and Partners to build mobile-enabled cloud applications easily. As a result, Surdell and Partners’ customers can conveniently access real-time information from their mobile devices. Surdell and Partners’ solutions running on Oracle Cloud Platform have also enhanced its credibility and instilled confidence with its customers.

With its customers’ data in the Oracle Cloud, and not on its premises, Surdell and Partners has been relieved of questions about security audits and processes that were standard when its infrastructure was on premises. In their due diligence, Surdell and Partners looked at other cloud solutions and although Amazon hosts Oracle Database, only Oracle provides the bundle of database services, professional management and database back-up they needed.

“Many of our clients are marketing lines of business in retail companies, and the struggle they often face is getting the information they need to make key business decisions, whether it’s about inventory, pricing, timing of a campaign, etc. They need to make real-time decisions and often their internal IT departments don’t have the bandwidth to support their needs. In the past, an option was for a retailer’s IT department to bring in contractors, but that typically adds the additional burden of getting them up-to-speed. With Oracle Database Cloud, we can take the burden off of our clients’ IT departments and provide much more flexibility to our customers to access the information they need when it’s needed,” added Kanzmeier.

The integrated Oracle Cloud Platform solution Surdell and Partners chose consisted of Oracle Database Cloud, Oracle Application Express and Oracle Database Backup Service and it has been using this solution since the summer of 2015.

Oracle Cloud Platform provides developers, IT professionals, and business users with a comprehensive, integrated portfolio of platform services that enables them to innovate faster, increase productivity and lower costs. Customers use Oracle Cloud Platform to integrate existing technology with next-generation cloud services, accelerate application development and deployment and lead business transformation. More than 4,100 customers are already using the Oracle Cloud Platform to transform their businesses. The Oracle Cloud Platform is part of the Oracle Cloud, which continues to show strong adoption, supporting 70+ million users and more than 34 billion transactions each day. It runs on more than 50,000 devices and more than 800 petabytes of storage in 19 data centers around the world.

Part of Oracle Cloud Platform, Oracle Database Cloud and Oracle Database Exadata Cloud provide extensive data management capabilities and extreme performance options in the cloud for deployment of business-critical workloads.

No Operand List Shown When Doing Add Aggregate in Level Break Footer

Hello All,

I am quite aware this is a known issue and the following Oracle Support doc ---> in E1: RDA: No Operand List Shown When Doing Add Aggregate in Level Break Footer
( Doc ID 1524831.1 ) describes the same.
We don't have any of those installed on our development machines and we have checked for the same.
The point that document advise is about missing VISUAL Studio compiler, which is for sure installed, as we have our BSFN which are being built on day to day basis.

Could anyone please suggest, if they have faced this issue and got them rectified in any other alternate way.

Thanks,

Parent Lot in Inventory management

Would like to use how inventory can be tracked using parent lot(PLOT) and Lot-serial(LOTN) in inventory management.

I have a requirement to track transactions of a receipt batch from end to end.

Any persons, who used this feature, please suggest ways.

Thanks in advance.

JDE supported in Microsoft Azure

Hi All,

I have a customer, a large construction company with $2.2 Billion in yearly revenue. Safe to say they have a massive infrastructure of which JDE forms a large portion. We are in the process of designing a cloud solution for them to meet their disaster recovery requirements. They are at the end of their hardware life cycle and would ideally prefer to run everything in the cloud, their current cloud provider is Microsoft's Azure platform. They are heavily invested already so it is not an option to consider AWS or any other major player. So please bear that in mind when you answer.

Their version is as follows:

Application server : Oracle JD Edwards 8.11 SP1
Tools Release code : EnterpriseOne Tools 8.98.4
Web servers : Oracle WebLogic Server 11G

My question is, I'd like to know if this can be run in Microsoft Azure. They have lots of customization in their JDE environment so I imagine this makes it a challenge but I am struggling to find any useful info (via Google search) on whether or not this version can be run in Microsoft Azure. If it can be run in Azure, it would be helpful to understand what limitations there are (if any), and if can't be then it would be helpful to understand why it can't be run in Azure.

Thanks guys.

Ciao for now,
FromJohannesburg
